What the solution does

ArabDox is Sakhr’s document management solution. Its role is distinct from OCR, which recognizes characters inside an image. The solution classifies, organizes, indexes, stores and retrieves documents in Arabic, English and French. The focus is the document’s place in a managed collection that people can return to when a business task requires it.

As an archive grows, moving paper into a large digital folder is not enough. Teams need a consistent description of each document, a classification that users understand and an agreed approach to retrieval. A document management framework makes those questions explicit. The actual configuration and its relationship with an organization’s environment must be reviewed against the proposed edition and project.

Capabilities and practical value

Classification and organization

Arrange documents within a structure that reflects the way the organization works instead of relying on inconsistent file names.

Indexing

Describe a document using information that distinguishes it and links it to its subject, such as document type, reference or responsible department.

Storage and retrieval

Build a structured basis for retaining and locating documents, with working rules defined before an archive is populated.

Multilingual content

The product description covers Arabic, English and French documents for organizations working with more than one language.

A practical workflow

  1. Define the document structure

Identify document types, their classification and the information users need to distinguish one record from another.

  2. Index and organize

Agree description fields, naming rules and intake practices, then test the structure with representative documents.

  3. Test retrieval

Ask real users to locate known examples and review the clarity of the organization before expanding the archive.
